Temperature Conversion Guide:
Temperature conversion uses specific formulas rather than simple multiplication factors, as temperature scales have different zero points and intervals:
Celsius to Fahrenheit:
°F = (°C × 9/5) + 32
Fahrenheit to Celsius:
°C = (°F - 32) × 5/9
Celsius to Kelvin:
K = °C + 273.15
Kelvin to Celsius:
°C = K - 273.15
Fahrenheit to Kelvin:
K = (°F - 32) × 5/9 + 273.15
Kelvin to Fahrenheit:
°F = (K - 273.15) × 9/5 + 32
Examples:
- 25°C × 9/5 + 32 = 77°F (room temperature)
- 100°F - 32 × 5/9 = 37.78°C (body temperature)
- 0°C + 273.15 = 273.15K (freezing point of water)
- 373.15K - 273.15 = 100°C (boiling point of water)
